Uk positive news: Monitoring in the district’s tourist towns, including Nainital, Bhimtal and Bhowali, will be strengthened through AI-based ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras, Commissioner Deepak Rawat said.
He stated that under a Smart City project, surveillance equipped with ANPR cameras will be set up on major routes and tourist locations with an allocation of ₹33 lakh by the Development Authority. The system will help control vehicle speed, improve parking management and assist in crime control.
